JackWard 0
Hi I hear a lot about people catching salmon and sea trout on worms. How should i go about this. Ive got a normal spinning reel and long old fly rod. Will these be ok, how far should i cast, does the size of the worms matter, where should i fish etc etc. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Jack W Quote Link to post

Thanks Jack W all depends if your fishing a biggish dirty water if so use a old fly rod and reel with 2 hooks about 18 inches apart and a little weight and trot it along the edge put a bunch on some people like brandling or lobworms personal prefrence then clear water single hook and single worm using the spinning rod cast into the pools and trot it down them with your finger on the line you will feel a bump bump as it bounces along the bottom then you will feel a different sensation strike into it it takes a while to know wat a fish feels like but when you do its fun hope this helps Quote Link to post
