Racking my failing brain to think of his name. I can't recall what his main timber was, but he varied it to suit the draw weight of the individual. I do however have the details of an excellant american flat bow maker on the IOW not that that will be of any use to you, trades as "Dragonfly Bows" Have you shot a traditional english longbow? I only ask as they are a bit tempremental(sp), To avoid breaking them you have to warm them up, usually by rubbing them , and I've seen several smashed by being held at full draw. You can't do that. Effectively you pull and release before the bow has time to break Sounds horrific I know but we are talking medievil kit here Quote Link to post
