Best 15ft salmon rod

I have a big birthday on the horizon, and have been lucky enough to get access to some good salmon fishing.

I have an entry level rod, but was looking to invest in a new rod.

Any suggestions welcome.

 

looking to spend up to £500 on the rod.

Well Marrajack, i take it that this is your 60th????

 

I always prefer Hardy tackle.......But i know Diawa are superb rods at reasonable prices....

good 2nd hand hardy for £400 would be a nice investment

Used them all, hardy, orvis, bruce and walker, sage etc etc (none of which i own or can afford) but i got a shot a the bosses brothers new hardy to fish the dee a few weeks back, this with a rio spey line, shot the cast out with no effort at all, it was a pleasure to use, nearly as much as it was when it was bent with a fish.. Hardy for me every time

If i had £500 to spend on a Salmon rod i would be hammering on the door of Bruce & Walker.
