Guest hyperion
long story short cos im zonked! we did a couple of laps of the farm and zapped some bunnies with the .17 hmr, had a very close call with a fence post some moron had decided to stick in the ground in the middle of a field then we swapped over to the .308 and went to look for a fox! we covered as much of the farm as we can get to at the mo as most of it is under a jungle of maze right now and were heading back up to the road to pack up when i saw some thing running across the field i got the lamp on him and the last mistake he made was to stop at the edge of the wood to look back at us! BOOM! he was stood quartering towards us and the bullet went in just infront of his shoulder and came out through the spine some odd markings on this one the sharp end and me posing cheers hyperion Quote Link to post

LITTLE TIP FOR YOU .DONT CUT THE TAIL FROM THE FOX WITH THE BONE STILL IN THE FUR.JUST CUT THROUGH THE FUR ONLY AT THE BASE OF THE TAIL THEN USE ANYTHING A LEAD,RAG,STRING ANYTHING PLACE IT AROUND THE CUT YOU HAVE JUST MADE AND THEN PULL HARD THE FUR WILL SLIDE FROM THE BONE.HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. Paul.L 0
Just cut around the base of the brush as mentioned leaving bone intact and use a stick with a 8"split down the length place brush inside split and pull , it really is that easy , I think if your pulling the brush away from the body you may be cutting to deep into the bone ,never had it happen to me.
