neil cooney 10,416
I would only use Ivomec in an extreme case. It has killed dogs in the past and can damage internal organs. Get your self a good wash ie. Coopers sheep dip and a good wormer and wash and dose your dogs at the same time routinely.
consett lad 43
i use ivomec on my dogs and it keeps them well clear ov fleas i give mine 1 mil i inject it under the skin on the neck . they do cart wheels when u put it in but its good

bedrock 16
My brother uses it to treat mange on his dogs. Its good for worms and mites but not fleas. The dosage is 1/10 cc per 10 lbs. of dog weight. don’t give it to dogs with a lot of collie in them. atb bedrock

spep21 0
I use 1ml per 10kg on my dogs and it clears up any skin probs. Doesn't seem to work with fleas though mate
PuBS 1
I use 1ml per 10kg on my dogs and it clears up any skin probs. Doesn't seem to work with fleas though mate As others have said dont get it near collies and be very careful using anthelmintics out of context, its at your own risk if off label. Organo phosphorus dips or any dip for sheep can only be purchased by someone with a cert of comp to dip sheep. There are concerns about long term use causing nerve damage. Kay 3,709
So the general feeling is that ivormec isnt effective against fleas , thats very interesting as people are spending money on a product formulated for ferrets amongst other small animals that claims it kills fleas & the active ingredient is ivormectin , very curious i think i shall investigate Thanks for the info folks as you can see it clearly states it contains ivormec & it is effective against fleas,
