MR TEA POT 1,287
Well i decided to ferret a hedge row that i mentioned in another post.So invited RHODEY off this site to see if he fancied a morning out. He said he will be here between 5-6 o clock,as is the norm he was late, landing about 6.30,the excuse was his landrover which he has just finished building would only do 55 mph top speed . So we set off to the field.First set of holes was a 4 holer,so nets down and ferrets in within 2 mins two rabbits in the nets Next set of holes was under the hedge,so we set purse nets on the holes we could get to(still too much undergrowth about)and then ran the stop nets both sides of the hedge. So ferrets entered and waited.A rabbit bolts straight down the hedge in to a stop net,ran over to get it out just as another rabbit bolts and runs in to the other stop net, sorted the nets and waited, about 15 mins had past so we got the locator out and found the ferret at 4ft,started to dig, suddenly the rabbit bolted straight down the hedge just about got to the stop net and shot back into the hedge and was back netted in a purse net. By this time it was getting a bit to warm and the midges was out so we called it a day. A few pics. Rhodey's landrover, when it got to 50 mph you had to shout t talk it was that noisey the tappets sounded like a machine gun being fired.Still i will give the lad credit he built him self from just a shell. I put this on incase the neighbours saw me in it. The land we was ferreting today. First set of the day,we took 2 rabbits from. Second set under the hedge row. The stop net in place. Starting to dig luckly the rabbit bolted. And yes thats me digging RHODEY eating blackberries, this was after a big full english and a bar of chocolate END OF DAY SHOT. My girlfriened took this shot thats why its so far away, plus she likes her garden so she thought she would show everyone. . Just like to say thanks for RHODEY for coming over and giving me a hand,i will invite you back when the undergrowth's died down and we can get to the big warrens. Quote Link to post

Rhodey 96
Couldn't wait any longer had to go and do abit. Not a bad day thanks Mr T, only a small bag but not a bad way to start the season. Were lucky the farmer didn't come and start ploughing that field would have messed things up. Quote Link to post
