othickman 6
Movie sites? You mean illegally streaming or downloading copyrighted material without having to pay anything? Yeah, most forums like to stay legal although we all do it

donk 12
Ok no problem SS, didnt realise i was asking for something illegal
othickman 6
Yep, illegal, the government are (apparently) planning to crack down on illegal downloading and streaming of copyrighted material (as it is copyright infringement) and costs the international entertainment industry (again, apparently) over £700m annually of potential sales. Although most people I know that do it wouldn't waste the money on it and only do it because it's free. But so, yeah, to avoid any trouble forums try to prevent such information. Fair enough really ... pff
donk 12
well thanks for the info lads,i wouldnt like to bring any disrespect to this site
SportingShooter 0
I can't see how the Government plan to prosecute half the population for copyright infringement though. Its impossible and it goes against "democracy" but then, when has democracy featured in Britain
othickman 6
I can't see how the Government plan to prosecute half the population for copyright infringement though. Same here, but it's more the companies want to make the government make internet providers have to either cut of those who do it or provide the companies with their names and evidence so they can privately prosecute. Or so I am led to believe. However, personally I don't reckon it's every going to happen, because, as you pointed out, such a large amount of people worldwide do it. Malt 379
I hate it when these companies say it costs the x amount of billion $$ a year in lost sales. Fair enough they might loose a fair old whack, but it's not in any danger of bankrupting anybody is it? Also, does it ever cross their minds that people wouldn't bother watching the film/buying the album in the first place if they had to pay for it? They need to find a new way of making money, get with the times. There was talk of a site for downloads a while back, that was totally free, the revenue being made via advertising on the site. It methods like this that will work, not the whole, 'You shouldn't do it your costing us money' bollocks that they spit out.

glass22 0
If they put them at reasonable prices, it would cut down % of the problem. I'm not paying 12 pounds to watch a movie online legally........
