I never seen the point of them before when you can use route planner on the net till i was in Africa a few months ago and really needed one bad when you get lost in the wrong area :o was down at Sherwood Forrest country last week and i borrowed one and i was so glad to many wee roads that ain't on the map but the woman's voice started getting annoying after a few hours and every time she told you to take the next turning on the left / right she rang a bell thought someone was texting me  But i must admit i didn't get lost or take the scenic route :D

a couple of years ago i was doing a coarse down in cirensester (spelling) i got there ok but on the way back it told me to go down this LANE, so i thought feck that, drove past but it was adamant i took it, so 2 drive by's and i buckled, this was a single track about 1 1/2 mile long, it brought me out on the dual carraige way that i needed, its a good job the farmer left his fcking gate open at the other end though :icon_eek:

I dont drive but i was watching a shopping chanel a few mornings ago & they had tom tom sat navs on, and i heard them say you can use then if your on foot as well, that would help me no end as i can never find my dads car in the supermarket car park unless he stands outside the drivers door

They are good I use one daily, but dont allways trust them 100% if your driving and it doesnt feel right dont follow it blindly. Ive had a few occasions where Ive ended up going the wrong way. Once nearly got stuck in a bottle neck that you would struggle to get a mini through never mind a 3.5 tonne Van! the worst time I ended up driving into a ford through a river and down the river for 1/4 of a mile before it turned back into solid road luckily I was in the works van so I just floored it and didnt really care.

Whatever happened to the good old fashioned map. But then again maps are a man thing lol. Girls....stick to the sat nav. You cant really go wrong with them. Or can you ? atb stabba :clapper::clapper::clapper:

if you see a green ford escort driving round in circles down the lanes of suffolk that will be Hannah1481 off here following her pratnav round and round and round and round and round and round and round! lol! ;):D:tongue2:
