lurcher lass 9 Posted August 28, 2009 Report Share Posted August 28, 2009 clean the wound with salt water, was it a clean break or is there peices of snapped nail in the wound, if there is remove these, let the dog lick it as they have anti bacterial salivia, of course if the dog starts nibbling the wound then bandage it, keep a very close eye on the wound, if it has a clean scab then all is grand but any puss or odd colouring then theres an infection that needs flushing out from the inside out, antibiotics from the vets shall cure this, i do hope this helps, all the best with your dog mate, lurcher lass x x x Quote Link to post
