badgeroy 3
Could anybody put me on the right track for a cheap security camera setup to record with motion sensor for night time use. The reason i only want cheap is to just to cover a rat trap i have in the garden where the bait keeps getting taken and the trap is not activated so i need to know what is taking the bait. Thanks for looking. Yes i did get the idea from "The rat pack" Edited August 28, 2009 by badgeroy Quote Link to post
john b 38
I use this one from Killgerm http://www.killgerm.com/product-group.php?group=829 This is some footage shot from it in the middle of the night - a mouse on a birdfeeder I had in the shed. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
Id suggest looking in aldi or lidl, although not motion sensor, we got a cctv camera for £29.00 rig it up to a video recorder, long play, your get 8hrs out of a 4hr tape, then just forward through it Quote Link to post

badgeroy 3
just a thought but if the baits going and the traps no sprung i'd be thinking mice ?? Thats what i was thinking, the little nipper type trap is set so fine i would have thought it would go off even with a mouse. Quote Link to post
410phil 4
Hi I had this problem and to save yourself some money just place a little nipper rat trap at the back of the cage trap with the bait trigger at the side of the cage so if is mice they can get in but I found that it was baby rats that were stealing the bait by sticking their heads through the bars at the back of the cage trap. Not anymore their not. Peanut butter everytime, works a treat. Phil Quote Link to post
