BLONDIE

Recommended Posts

Where does the time go? I first saw Blondie as a 6 week old pup running among her litter mates. Then in no time at all she was killing hares like an expert, a great bitch in and around cover. She could stay for the long runs or overpower a short hare quickly. That 2000 Forley was the ultimate as far as standard of competition goes.

She produced a good litter to Charlie, which included Delboy, the winner of the Moochers trophy ( organised by Flynn a few months before the ban) aged only about 14 months. My pal Colly has a dog sired by Delboy which is an excellent retriever of game. So the story's not over yet.

I can but only echo your comments Bolio The Brother to the Delboy mating was knocked out of a rabbiting cup in the semis by the winner ........ and so the story goes on and a legacy continues .....

A true great bitch , bred, reared and owned by a great dog man.

That, for me, pretty much sums it all up.

Her bloodline continues and its fair to say she, and the rest of her ilk, will be there forever in the annals of coursing history, from the golden days.

RIP Blondie.

RIP Blondie.. A true coursing legend. As has been said her legacy will live on, but its not one mans loss when dogs of this breeding pass away, its everyones, hopefully in decades from now people will look back and read about the coursing dogs and the bloodlines that were honed from worker to worker from times when coursing was in its golden era and the dogs in it were as close to perfection as it gets...
