bramble brandy

made my bramble brandy today. its ina big jar in the cupboard, but i want to know whats the minimum time it can be left to mature?

 

i kinda wanted it for the start of the season but our first shoots next week and we only got the brandy today so am i gunna have to wait a long time?

The truth is the longer you leave it the better, this goes for all fruit to alcohol infusions.

 

I make Sloe Gin, Sloe Brandy and Sloe Vodka myself and find that the nine month infusion is better by miles than the stuff i have left for six months.

 

If you want it in the next couple of weeks then you may be pushing your luck a bit, the earliest i would consider to be worthwhile would be three months and thats pushing it a bit.

Even with such a soft sweet fruit as the blackberry?

 

 

yeah thats what i thaught, they've all fallen apart already. and its gone a really dark red. literally blood red.
