fin and fur 2
Thats amazing and just goes to show what you can get when you catch a landowner in the right frame of mind. I have had unexpected offers of permission when i have been out on the river and have chatted to the farmer as i have walked upstream, yet if i go knocking on doors it is hard work, guess the farmer can size you up better on his own terms than if you go a knocking. all the best fin and fur

mushroom 13,504
Been out on the new permission tonight got five for no effort it's rife with them :clapper: did that staffy catch them bunnies??? Four were instant death (head shots) and pretty easy retrieves for her. The second to last rabbit the wind took the pellet slightly off and it went straight through the throat. Predictably the little bugger took off for cover through sheep netting and into dense thicket, so I sent Lil' Mo after it. While she was hunting for it out of sight, I shot the last rabbit in't head. About 5mins had passed by now I had heard or see nothing of the dog or rabbit. Put my fingers to my mouth to recall whistle and heard a squeal so I didn't whistle. 10 secs later over the fence comes lil' Mo with one rabbit in her mouth still alive without a mark aside from the throat wound and delivered it straight to the hand :clapper: She's a little star my staff
