Sterry 0
Can it be done? if so whats the best way to do it and would i need a ladder? On my permision there is about half an acre of wood with loads of squirrels (im sure this is where they nest) and leading from this wood is a tree line which they use to get out in to the feilds and steal the fruit. i've tried hiding up...nothing even with bait. Traps such at kania are out of my budget and seeing as this is more a favour for the farmer as thankyou for the rabbit control. i 've tried shooting the dreys but limited success i.e only one or two shot and the rest bugger off. the best results has been walking in a pair either side of the tree line and getting them to try and get back to the main wood....this is really good fun and an excuse to give my .410 an outing. so just to show the farmer a few bodys, can you snare the miscrients??? camies 1
Just a little word of caution, don't snare if there is red squirrel in the neighbourhood! Much better to cage, or shoot (410 ok, pcp is quieter and better) Edited August 28, 2009 by camies Quote Link to post
Sterry 0
Just a little word of caution, don't snare if there is red squirrel in the neighbourhood!Much better to cage, or shoot (410 ok, pcp is quieter and better) Oh yeah no red squirrels for miles, as i said i do sometimes use a pcp but they have a nasty trick of goin the other side of the tree and giving me the run around...the .410 allows for a quicker shot before they realise whats what...and as i said... I just love using my .410 so its a good excuse to use it and leave the 12 bore in the cabinet Quote Link to post
