i was out lamping last night with my beddy whippet pup of nine months we got into a field and there was a rabbit clamped in front of us i slipped him and he give chase as he was chasing the rabbit it ran straight into a fence and knocked itself out then the dog grabbed it does this count as a catch ? as i prefer the dog to catch in full stride which is much better to watch alb joshmarto

in my eyes yes if he chased it before that, the rabbit was up shit street and didnt have a clue he obviously made it knock itself out

i'd say if it was your dogs first no. but when he catches one buy him self yes. and if not his first it dont matter long as he retrieved it spot on

Happened too me the other day in broad daylight, my terrier put one up out of a bush and the lurcher chased it onto an old railtrack where it promptly knocked itself clean out IMHO they all count, atb Richard

they all count mate, i have had them run into goal posts on playing fields and knock them selfs out i found it so funny and an easy way of catching rabbits

You lot must of jinksed me last nite, we pulled into a field last night got my bitch out and slipped her on a rabbit. They run round and round a tree then headed strait for me. My arse nearly munched my boxers, they missed me by inches and ran strait into my mates pick up. The lurcher hit the left hand tyre and the rabbit the right hand tyre. I still had the lamp on the rabbit, the lurcher picked it up and broughtit back to me.. She wasnt hurt which im shocked about, I thought she was a gonna to be honest
