the ban

Recommended Posts

The consevatives have promised a free vote on repeal of the ban, but this may not be success full if they dont get a big majority.

Problem is if its repealed then we may get one or two terms of goverment until they are thrown out and any future labour gov will learn from its mistakes with the current ban and really seek to finish us.

The current question is should the ban be replaced with a licenceing system to provide a long turm future. An independent licenceing commitee is currently being put in place.

As to wether this will benefit the independent lurcher/terrierman then the conservatives and the countryside allience support legal terrier work/lurcher work and courseing. But many people who are simply poachers critise them as not doing anything for the 'working man' as though we could do anything to defend poaching in law!

Legal organised terrier work/ courseing is supported by those who are fighting in the house of commons and seeking to provide a long term future for fieldsports.

I reckon it will be a long, long, long time before we see a labour government again (thank god), secondly, most politicians have no interest in the countryside

or hunting, no money in it for them, unless as someone said, they devise a tax on wildlife !

Lets not forget that this ban was bought and paid for by the RSPCA and other animal "welfare" bodies. atb Doss.

I hope it is a long time, but does that mean hunting will be secure for the rest of my life/my childrens life? Only a small percent of the population actually vote so big swings are alway possible, it onlt takes a tony b/obama to swing a public. And do you think the tories will be successful in office and stay there?
