Brian-911 210
had a similar prob recently with my patt pup now 12 weeks old, the other pup was play fighting with her and she was going back real nasty. so decided to keep her in house for a bit and just get them walking together and introducing them for a couple of hours a day. there good as gold now and im actually moving her into the kennel tonight. takes time Quote Link to post
MrsChamp606 553
well, I have a 9 month old patterdale at the moment and all i have done is constantly socialise him - with children, dogs and cattle. He got a firm NO or DEAD if he so much as looked at them the wrong way. He is fine with my two lurchers and lakeland i would not advise leaving any dogs together until you are certain but I test the puppy as much as I can. I set the rules and he has to abide by them male sure he knows he is wrong! some people may totally disagree with me but thats my opinion and touch would my dogs live together fine. kayteetess 14
Cant get it out of most of them...Iv seen pups as young as 8 weeks attack each other.not playing. well said i agree Quote Link to post
jaykay 2
Not trying to run your dog down or anything but in general if they're a dog fighter, they dont usually make it in the dark hole in the ground. If he's only 8 weeks put with an older dog and they will put manners on him. Thats what cesar milan said on the telly a minute ago Quote Link to post
top terrierman 90
you have to kennel them on their own patterdales can be c**ts for fighting cant trust them around other dogs.theirs no backing down with them against other dogs. Quote Link to post
WILF 46,551
Theres nothing you can do fella, thats the patterdale terrier for ya. What utter nonsense....... Batter the livving daylights out of the little c**t next time he rocks into another one of the dogs.......if he carrys on untill adulthood, get the c**t put down if you cant keep the dogs apart and you cant live with it. Some dogs are fighters and some aint.....its got feck all to do with the breed. Quote Link to post

They will lock on to another dog in seconds. To me its just one of those things you have to accept. Quote Link to post
