Cajunrules 8
Took the terrier out yesterday just for a quick walk near a local farm, I saw the farmer combining and he was nearly finished so thought I'd wait and ask him about permission as all of my permission is at least a couple of miles away from home. Anyways he was keen to get a shotgun on it as there are tons of pigeon (and hopefully plenty of bunnies as I've never done much lamping before). So just thought I would share a couple of pics. langouroux 14
very nice mate, if you got a shotgun then might be an idea to keep a range of different loads / size shot in your cartridge belt in case mr foxy turns up, as the above comment said! good luck, keep the pics coming. cbw 4
That looks really lovely!!!! There was a thread a little while ago that was all pictures of our permissions....Hence a little picture of the hedgerow I was laying in this evening!!! Lets post some more, far better than arguing amoungst ourselves and flinging dirt!!!! CBW Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
One or two of mine in that case Hill after hill You see those trees in mid frame? you can see the tops of? Well those trees are 40ft high is some cases, you just can't see them because I'm on top of a bank looking over them, very steep. As Grim Reaper will attest, my permission can turn to this extremely fast Quote Link to post
cbw 4
You can kind of smell the rain/damp air and feel the wet boots!!!!!!.....Looks great! Good to see you also have horses to contend with....(and thier owners!) CBW Quote Link to post
SportingShooter 0
I'm lucky in that the horses aren't gun shy Quote Link to post
Cajunrules 8
Lets post some more, far better than arguing amoungst ourselves and flinging dirt!!!! Some more then: This one is a view of the same permission as above, only from the opposite side, and taken on my phone All these are of permission of our shooting club Cheers Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
I'm lucky in that the horses aren't gun shy I think there are more gun shy horse owners than there are gun shy horses! You get a few that aren't a fan, most tend to jump and maybe canter a few paces when the gun goes off, but then settle really quickly. But of course to horse owners we're terrifying folk and their beloved animals are in danger and are terrified. So when dealing with horse owners, calm and soothing words and the odd deep breath! Very true, I have had a few "chats" with the owners after my discharging a shot, the horses were lying down and not bothered in any way, the owner however was in blind panic Quote Link to post
