yes we were out yesterday we were doing open land in the dales had about 10 rabbits that were half grown and only 2 does that had young in out of 73. i have been saying for a few years now that most rabbits stop breeding at the end of july and start after xmas.

 

dont get me wrong you will always get a few that breed but most dont

its getting quite cold round here lately, there was supposed to be a heat wave in august so it might be worth waiting. it depends on your situation though doesn't it.

If you can take them just now i would theres still time for them to breed again and replace what you catch .

I went out yesterday did 6 burrows got a couple then it got hot so i gave up

I might be heading up to the ground this weekend was up there a couple of weeks ago and the grass was far to long to run the nets out we'll find out this weeknd though.

2 of the jills i have will be 16 weeks old on the 26th of this month. I think i will get them out and give them the idea for a couple of hours, see how they go.
