Dave C 63
It all depends on the dog, mine has done very little except general obedience until very recent, but as i moved her to the next step of introducing the whistle she picked it up and responded so well i knew it was time to move on, if she haddent i would of just carried on with general training for another week or so. This is the way i tell when she is ready to move on, its easy to push them to hard and sicken them, but when they are ready they will pick it up naturally. Dave. Quote Link to post

hendo 1
Thanks Baz, she doing well mate, she stops, sits and stays on the whistle, is retrieving well as you would expect but i am very impressed with her hunting in cover, she hits it hard (water as well) and can be a little to keen, but thats what i want in her.The only thing is blind retrieves, but that will come as she is only 5 months and theres no hurry. Cheers Dave. Sounds like she's learning fast Dave, its good to see them hit cover at a young age, looks like you'll have a good shooting partner in no time, keep us updated. Baz Quote Link to post
