othickman 6
I am planning on building my own firewood store, big enough to have about a cubic meter of wood. I reckon I can design and make one out of wood that comes to mind and a tarp, but I thought I'd ask on here to see if there's anything that's decent: google came up with nowt. shepp 2,285
Two pallets next to each other, fix some upright 2" x 1" either end, then 2" x 1" across the top linking the uprights, like a frame. Have maybe 4 of these sloping backwards and sheet the top to keep the rain off. You can easily make this about 4ft high and you will be surprised how much wood you can stack on here. Good luck Shepp Edited to say one pallet will do 1 cubic meter but while your at it might as well do two.

shepp 2,285
I would say you will need at least 2 cubic metres to keep one fire going for the winter.
BWB 3
google the web site certainly wood you may get some ideas from their firewood store . The company I work for supplies them with the mesh material which is used on the front of their stores .
Waz 4,274
I use between 10 and 14 m3 per winter (depending on frosts and how warm the day can get), all dried oak. 1 fire. I just stack it and tarp it, cut a few metres at a time to 50 cm for the burner.
othickman 6
All right, cheers. And yes, I realise that 1m cubed won't keep a fire going all winter, but my house is warmed by central heating, but I would like to have a small firewood store as good, dependable firewood would come in handy for various things. Thanks for the input guys
