Panna 68
... the only reason would be to keep something myself. It's nice to be wanting another dog next to your one, but why having a pup from a dog that isn't really the quality to be bred? I advise you to get a dog from prooven parents (and when the sir has both testicles) and get this dogie castrated. When mating a dog "for free" you don't get any pup from the littet. When asking for a pup from a litter, it doesn't called "for free". I wonder if you find someone to use your dog, but if yes, you wil spread this trait (of cryptorchide) and will actually make ambitious people's thing very hard when they think they have a good dog and they realise they have bought a dog which only has 1 testicle. It would be just not ethic to use such a dog in breeding. ATB, Anna just out of curiousity, if the young dog put in enough seasons and hard work to be counted as a tried and tested worker, would you still not use him to line a bitch? what if there were very few choices of stud or indeed no other stud as good as him, woould you not use him. i certinly would chance it That is not the situation for all of our's luck! Risky case... ATB, Anna Quote Link to post

Anna i was'nt asking for a pup or any money it was for FREE to test if the dog could produce. it would have been FREE for the first couple of servicing but a small donation or sack of meal there after. as im not in it for the money just trying to offer a service and have a bit of help testing him on the way. IF THERE IS PLEASE STATE???????????? but yet again id never breed a bitch under 2 even more closer to 3 but and the only reason would be to keep something myself. it states that i would only breed a bitch of my own if i was to keep a pup. waidmann 105
with the dog only having one ball i would not breed with him. IT IS HEREDITRY(or can be). the dog is not proven is he? if so on what? try reading the thread on testicular migration it may help. my dog has only one and will not be bred from( no matter how well he works).we owe it to the breed( and buyers of pups) to be honest and selective as to what we put to stud. overcome the will to PRODUCE PUPS and we can keep working dogs fit and able for the job.only the best is good enough no matter what breed. waidmann 105
i beg to differ mate. the dog( if the testical does not drop) is unsound and should not be bred from. we want healthy dogs for the task in hand. irrespective of ability the gene pool is not so tight that any responsible breeder will use a dog who is not top( see breed specific standards for all dogs. both testicals should be in the scrotum) if the dog should be a good worker then great, enjoy the dog. that does not mean you can overlook an insufficiancy and breed from him. it would not be fair to the breed or buyer.
