border man 2 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 hi all new to this section.have carried out pest control on farms for a couple of years . no money just favour for a favour type stuff. ferreting pigeons in barns dig the odd fox bit of ratting. all sport really.if i wanted to go the profesional route and more commercial ie wasps roaches moles bird proofing what training would i need and where from . i see the BPCS run courses are these the best or are there different and better training providers. also what insurance would i need. how would i price jobs.sorry for all the questions.thanks for your time all all info much appreciated. stubby 175 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 you'd be better off applying for a job with one of the large pest control companies, starting at the bottom as a tech, although the money would be poor, you'd recieve all the training for free, plus hands on experience with cockroahes/bed bugs/wasps etc etc, then a year or two down the line, you'd be able to calculate if theirs a market for your services Quote Link to post
