skycat 6,174 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Share Posted August 22, 2009 Just occasionally I have seen dogs, both lurchers and terriers, which were downright murderous towards other dogs but absolute cr*p on the game they were bred for, which in the case of the terriers mean't foxes. All the exposure to foxes in the world never made them any better at the job and they still wanted to take out other dogs. To me, though I'm not saying this is the case with the dog in this thread, it is a case of wiring gone wrong in the dog's head if the dog has been properly socialised in the first place.
