if you are in rented then check the T&C of your rental agreement. if you are in your own house, and there is no covenant on it restricting you to 2 dogs, then theres no problem. no issues, and Im not sure why you would be worried unless they are causing an enviromental nuisance such as barking.

Just to be on the safe side i`de keep records of any conversations betwen your self and the neighbour,

then if questions are asked, then you will know dates, time, wittnesess,

But as i understand it, in your own property your ok....

She obviously an anti, theres only one way to resolve this and thats to poision her cat, then hang it from her tree and use it as target practice. Then attach a nice, polite notice, informing her she will be next if she persists in being a nusiance :whistling:

-The number of dogs per dwelling is stated as 6 in case law. However, this is a matter of fact and degree. For example, 8 dogs could be acceptable in a farm house that is isolated but 4 large dogs in a terraced property with a small garden could be unacceptable. Therefore to tell people 6 dogs is the absolute number is incorrect as we would have to make a judgement on the circumstances of the owner. Therefore it is more advisable to base each case on its own merit.

Dog waste can be tightly wrapped and disposed of with your regular waste.

i was jst wondering what actually happens if you get reported for having more then 2 dogs and has this happend to anyone ?

is there anyway around it ? like can you have more than 2 if your actually doing things with them ? like showing ,racing trainin to course ?

because the guy that collects money for the rspca has seen 3 at the door(i have 4) when her came round for that £3 and he just laughed at them and said hes glad to see where looking after the animal population

but the old women behind me said shes going to report me because the birds arnt going in her garden anymore and that shes scared to let her cat out , when i say behind us i mean by a whole 91 ft so its not like all the dogs are in a confined space and are constantly barking right next to her , and im sure people live next to people with dogs and let there cats out cus my other nieghbor next to me has 5 and they totter about outside

but im concerned about what happens when you have more then 2 because they all have meaning to me im emotionally attached to them its not like i could do ip dip and get rid of any :( !

Tell her to FFUCK OFF there's nothing they can do as long as the dog's are in good health.

No don't tell her to f**k off, or lose your rag in any way... Treat her with respect in spite of what you may be feeling, that way if the dispute does grow out of all proportion there is no way that you have done anything wrong, and she will be seen for what she is...

If your dogs are fit & healthy, confined to your own garden, and not causing a nuisance by barking all day long or whatever, there is nothing she can complain about. If her cat ventures into your garden it is at its own risk - it would be a different matter if your dogs gain access to her garden.

Try and resist the temptation to strangle her with the corpse of her cat, or throw dog turds over her fence, etc - that won't do you any favours. But try not to let it bother you, I don't think there is any way she can justifiably report you unless you are in rented accomodation.

If the daft old bat has had her cat doing a lurk around her garden I'm not surprised the birds don't go there. The bloody moggy probably et 'em all. You clearly have a decent size garden, your family own the property so unless the dogs are causing a nuisance by barking all the time 4 should be no problem. I've had 16 in a terraced house before. OK, 13 of 'em were pups for sale and they were only wee terriers anyway but 16 there were. Had to do a head count at night in case one had sneaked under the gate . . .

As said, though, you stay squeaky clean. Don't lose yer rag, don't swear at her. If she really pi**es you off make a plasticine model of her and stick pins in it. "Oh dear Mrs Thingy, is your arthritis playing up again? How sad. "

If you own the house then there is no 'law' that says you can only keep two dogs (I think she's confusing the laws on the number of brood bitches that can be kept without being classed as a 'breeder'!).

However, there are laws on harrassment so maybe a letter explaining what they are is called for ;)

i have seven dogs mate if the house is owned they cant do jack. if she bein snotty theaten to report her cat for killng protected song birds and point out that her cat should not be your garden in the first place and therefore will not be in danger if kept on her own property as it should be stinkin horrible vermin that they are (i dont like cats :11: ) you can find fact about how many song birds cats kill per year on the web try tellin her these and see what she thinks of that probs get it on the hated rspb site.

if noise is an issue you can get ultrasonic devices that stop barkin they cost bout 40 quid from pets at home and they work. some people just dont like dogs especially if they are old and have cats. you never said what kind of dogs you have and are they broken to cat my gundogs are but my lurchers and terriers are not!! if yours are mabye a demo of there steadiness would placate the old bag.

why is everybody hell bent on revenge ??????

"tell her to f**k off"

"do the cat in"

why????

just carry on about your own buisness and ignore her, apart from the "good mornings " and "good afternoons"

as long as you are treating your dogs properly and cleaning up any mess as soon as possible, there is nothing she can do.

but she could if you told her to "f**k off" or her cat mysteriously disapeared ?????

Ditto , to be honest if you are just very polite & give this neighbour absolutly no cause for complaint then she will get fed up & busy herself in other ways , hard i know but i have been all guns blazing in the past myself & it got me nothing but trouble & a visit from the law
