Rabbithunter 456
What lamp & filter do you lads n lasses prefer to use? On a personal note, i like the 240 BLITZ and GREEN filter (deako: you have some custom coming from me shortly ) Reason is, Pre-Ban i used to do a bit of lamping off the van for Hares & Charlie. So the longer beam was always better, I used it on foot as well and have never looked back. Before that i had the 170, and one night when i lost a fox in the beam i decided i needed a bigger lamp. And the green filter just seems to work for me Quote Link to post
Guest loose gunner
got the lightforce striker did buy the green filter myself but too much hassle on the rabbits as its not on a flip like the old lazerlites , which i personally dont like anymore as there not made as well as the lightforce . Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
lazerlight double bulb with flip up red or green filter. Quote Link to post
Guest oldskool
thats wat i have,, the green filter works well because i think u get better range with it. plus i think the green beam blends in nicely Quote Link to post
ziggy1 0
I use a blue eye seems to do the job. Use a Logun lamp on the gun. Green, red filters seem to work the best on the gun. Quote Link to post
Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
must add for foxes in far out runs the lazerlite has its limits. thats why i will be acquiring a blazer 2 million for those situations. and the filter system is compatible. Quote Link to post
Guest oldskool
the blaser is what im using but its fecking sore on the juice. i get about 4 hours lamping out of the big pack. the laser would have lasted about 7 maybe 8 hours. i would like to see them bring in a way of adjusting the beam like lightforce lamps can do. Pennymeadow Whippets 0
i now use a Striker & red filter used a night blaster 500cp black spot for many years with a red filter Quote Link to post
Guest ADAM AND HIS DOGS
oldskooll you may find that the deben varibale power converter an help you but the blaser is very sore on power my mate has it and the laser is very economical. its the difference in bulb wattage. also the reflector is stainless steel in the blaser and the cable straight and heavy duty the laser has a plasctic relflector and 50 wat bulb. i wouls not recommend below a 17 amp battery pack for the blaser. those of you using the lightforce range with the clip on filter do u not find it very difficlult to get the fliter on and off quietly for the slip. i was lamping with few mates last year and using the blittz with the red filter had a fox coming like a freight train and i balllsed up and the fox got too much ground on the dogs. one fella i know gives it a kartate chop at the moment of the slip. i thought of writing a letter to light force to suggest they bring out a hinged filter with changeable lenses the same as cluson Quote Link to post
