byrney 2
The wife's medically trained and she thinks it could be either a hernia or a sebatious cyst, both require a simple op. Hope this helps atb.
lurcher lass 9
as already mentioned go to the vets, in all honesty i'm surprised you haven't gone before, rather then taking the time to take photos and post a topic up

Guest chook
You realy need that hernia sorted, as if the guts drops through it can cause them to be strangled, the puss type things are nothing realy, if hes been running through long grass or anything like that, thats what cause's it, just wash them down with sait water and apply alovera gel or a cream with antiseptic in it, lots of dogs get them at this time of year. bow94 0
jus took this pic an had to share does anyone else think this is not straight whippet he's 22tts at 8-9 months?? i dont know much about whippets vet says age is accurate but he doesnt think he's just whippet either Bought a gwp pup 5 years ago he had a hernia the size of a fifty pence piece and a very bad murmer vet told me he could drop dead any time but the hernia was nothing to worry about it just turned into a fatty lump ,as for dropping dead he's flat out all the time and still like a pup
littlefish 573
My dog has spots like that too, i think it comes from running through long wet grass at this time of year, if it gets out of hand and too itchy or weepy, i wash him in head and shouders shampoo, it really cools his skin and drys up the rash better than anything i have ever got from the vet. He also has a small umbilical hernia for all his life (he is 10 years old now). It is very small but your dogs one looks bigger, i that was my dog i would have an opinion from another vet, i wouldn't like to have to deal with an emergency strangulation etc, or indeed that catching on anything. He looks like a good pup anyway, no matter whether he is a full whippy or not.....handsome is as handsome does...etc, etc!
