kristian 9
The "stolen dog" topic would be a good idea as long as it's not filled with bickering and shit just keep it to pics and whereabouts the dogs were taken from so people don't have to trall through pages and pages of pointles posts. Even if this only gets one or two dogs back at least it's a step in the right direction? Everyday i read posts of dogs being stolen it's getting ridiculas and i bet it's someone getting the info off here or similar sites! Good luck all who have had dogs stolen. If theres pics on here thats a lot more people to keep an eye out for them.
neil cooney 10,416
A large album of stolen dogs on the WWW would help. That way an English man might see a picture of a terrier he's been offered that was stolen in Ireland. Ever notice that the stolen dogs in the CMW could have went missing anything up to 2 years ago. It has to be instant and the WWW can do that. A lot of the terriers stolen in Ireland are being sent to Britain and vice versa. Especially through the well known Limerick dogthief who's getting a lot of his dogs from the Galway dog thief. But at the end of the day these pieces of shit are stealing them because there's a steady line of so called dog men who will buy without asking questions. Simple as that. jigsaw 11,899
just back from the dentist im waiting on a call for further information on the stolen dogs,as soon as i get it i'll update everyone.if you only knew how the rottie was sorted you wouldnt believe it,no psychical contact was made between man nor beast to incapacitate her,i now realise a guard dog is of no consequence to someone who knows what to do.I reckon its only a handfull of tramps that are doing this. doe 30
A section with photos of all stolen dogs would be a great idea. For a start it would save Doglost co-ordinator and myself slogging through all the posts whenever a working dog is picked up and posted on Doglost. Yeah, that is what we do in our spare time as some of you will know 'coz we get in touch with owners whenever we think we may have one that matches yours.

Hunter of T-N-G 1
the only way to prevent dog theft is to never have f**k all to do with anyone but your trusted hunting friends and to be discreet in how you go about your hunting avoid shows and putting pictures on forums also to not talk about your dogs abilties and make sure your huntign aquaintances do the same. Shame to hear about your friend Jigsaw.
vulpicide 0
Does he have any photos of the dogs ? The only reason that i ask is that as the members of this forum seem to cover a wide geographical base then maybe we can all keep a lookout at the various shows etc that we attend for any dogs that have been stolen and reported to the forum. In fact i would suggest that it would be a good idea if we had a seperate section for stolen dogs, which members can view if they have suspicions about dogs for sale, or dogs being touted around the shows etc. Whilst there are many excellent organisations that do this sort of thing for pets, i feel that if we are talking about working dogs then they are more likley to be passed onto unsuspecting working dog owners by the thieves. What do you say moderators ?, a forum topic page for stolen dogs where we can all help each other out and see a few dog thieves behind bars into the bargain. all the best fin and fur The National Working Terrier Federation are part of a national stolen dog alert I recently got an alert in my area on piper the border terrier, he was returned last night good result contact Barrie through the NWTF site to be included in the alerts the more areas we cover the less chance of these lowlifes being able to pass on stolen dogs

If my dogs were even taken I think I would have a nervous breakdown and end up in hospital. My dogs are my life. I keep mine in my bedroom, (dont laugh). I believe legally thats the only place you are aloud to use lethal force in defence. If any trying taking mine, they'd probably end up dead.
