hairyface 211
When can you start running the hare as soon as the ban gets lifted buddy or as been said after its been shot, get the dog out now mate, its at a nice age now to start, but dont do too much too soon, little and often is the way forward, 2 or 3 bunnies a night, 2 or 3 nights a week till it gets going then start giving it a bit more, you'll probably know someone who tells you to give it loads of graft all the time, well take no f*****g notice, you wont get the best out of yer dog running it into the ground night after night, theres alot of folk want too much too quick, but thats not the way forward, as i said little and often, and enjoy yerself cheers HF. border lad 1,047
start him on the rabbits, get out as soon as possible, and if MR. Long Ears, is there, he is your dog, use your own judgement, I am going to tell you, there is not a true dogman/woman, that has not run Mr, long ears, at this time of year, Why give a young dog a crueler, ((( and he may get that if he is a good buck,(( not a Milky doe, when your schooling a young dog, look for soft targets, something he can get a decent run at, Not something sitting 5yards of the hedge, it builds his confidence, and assures him he can do the job, and build him up from there, nice and steady,, ((( now wait for the negative retorts,,,,, Quote Link to post
