RichyWales 0
You gotta teach him right from wrong now just like kids. Hes just testing his limits because he doesn't know any better. If you watch a lot of puppies they bite eachother because they need to figure out their own strength, figure out how much pressure to use for play and combat/defense its just part of growing up. But never ever allow any human to play fight with him because basically your telling him hey boy, thats a good bite well done, yep thats a good bite... big no no. Sure its fun when hes a pup but that wont last long. Define whats a toy and whats not, you decide when he plays with those toys and when he doesn't. Gotta be the pack leader for him, if not its a can of worms and he'll try and be the pack leader when he matures which will make your life hell. Establish your dominance early. Some people make the mistake of thinking its cruel but a little tough love means he'll respect you and your family otherwise he'll walk all over you. Dogs are 110% happy knowing they have a confident pack leader to look after them and deal with any situation. Remember the basics, your the boss, you control the toys and play, you control the food, you control the best beds. Good luck! Quote Link to post
