Recommended Posts

My friend ring me last week and asked would i go lamping with him because he has a 2 year old colliexgreyhound half x 27inc his a fine dog..but he let the dog come on to this season for a fox cause he was too young last year...i said wait a few weeks but he said that he was out and just walked into a cub and he got a great run but didnt knock him :thumbdown: But then his uncle shot a few foxes with the rifle and let him rag them..so then he wanted to double a dog with and he did but his dog didnt really have any interest so i went off and had a look cause the dog is fit and health but for what i see i dont think he`ll be a fox dog...What you think...!!???

he just might not take quarry that bites back ,hes certainly big enough by the sounds of it but all he can do is keep trying maybe something will just click with the dog

Spot on, some do and so dont. :wallbash: I had colliex [3/8 collie 5/8 grey dog] 26in 70lb, he is on here [old pics post] .He smash them no prob, he was 20 months old when he started. The 1st few he got pecked, and didnt like it. But after that every one he caught he shook the shit out of them, and he loved them more than rabbits.? Ive got another colliex grey [1x], and this one as a differnt temp ,so i dont know.?? He is 24in 59lb, big enough+strong but you never know. .?? And with colliexs they do think about thing's , to much at times. Where most bullxs just do it,and that the differnce. If you can get a [good] colliex, they will tackle anything.

That was the same with me but the opposite way around i went out with my friend for a couple of knights to show my dog what a fox was ( He was only 1 nd a half ) and my friends bitch was 3 a saluki grey well able for fox but when she was running them she never really pushed herself to knock them. Then we decided to double up to giv my fella just a run ! We slipped his bitch first and a couple of second l8tr my dog. When they caught up with the fox his bitch pulled back and left my dog do all the hard running. Even though she was running you could see she never really wanted it.

I was amazed when i saw her ! :thumbdown::hmm:
