CCI .22LR Subs

I couldn't source and Eley subs so ended up buying a brick of this shite. The grouping (prone off a bipod@ 50yrds) is terrible and i've had three mis-fires in the first 60 rounds. Anyone else not impressed with these?

Very surprised with your experience, I have been using CCI subsonics for 20 plus years with no problems, they are also the most accurate round in my 10/22's.

i have had a go with a .22 rimmy and rem subsonic rounds were accurate to 50 yards.

The only cci subs i've tried in my cz varmint were the copper coloured ones , and they were also terrible . They sprayed bullets all over the place and the groupings were awful . I ended up taking them back to the gunshop and swapping the remaining boxes for my current ( and only brand ) Winchester SuperX.

 

I would like to know however if anybody else has tried this copper coloured crap , as i believe that they have now been discontinued ( thank god )

my cz 452 didnt like them at all,hard to load up and missed loads with them,needless to say they went the journey,now back on the win subs,my older brno .22 would load them ok,but dont know about acuracy,oki doki ian

mt cz 452 .22LR hated them! wouldnt cycle properly, didnt want to group etc, i then tried RWS which were very good, but i have finally settlend on winchester.

in my cz 452 the groupings are not as good as eley subs or winchester subs but they are not that bad. Problem for me was closing the breach they don't seem to fit as well. No miss fires though. I ended up taking them back and getting swapped

You are probably right with your 1st choice of eley, works best for me. I can't get on with winchesters, so bloody variable. Problem is that when you are shooting with 2nd choice ammo, you almost expect it to be less accurate and don't try as hard as a result???? All in the head maybe

I had nothing but bother with them so ive been using winchesters for years and never had a problem with them .

Common problem being tight in bolt CZ's.

Should group OK though.

Not alone with having problems through my CZ then... Its frustrating as I'm used to pretty much same hole accuracy with the eley subs... only another 440 rounds to use up
