opinions opinions opinions- thats all we have, moo , yours differs from mine, but i've had decent working dogs longer than you've had brain cells , so stop slagging, yours was'nt even worthy of being there, so why critisice, agreed the open show winner was a superb specimen, i know it well, even the owner, but it had'nt qualified for the finals either, to say the winner was picked for who he was , thats ridiculous, i never have, and never would pick someone just because i know them, to be perfectly honest with you, i knew 7 of the 8 participants in the final, so how was there any untowards in the final, , moo i could'nt give a toss what you say, as it's only ever to slag someone off behind a computer screen, never to ones face--------says it all about you does'nt it--- end of.

dennned.

I have no hidden agenda at all here as I didnt have a dog in the show so it was no sour grapes or being a bad looser just giveing my opinion as a totally neutral observer and I was not the only one that was shakeing there head when you pulled that black and white dog out who insidently I have judged that dog so Ive actually had my hands on that dog and have probably seen the dog at over 10 shows over the years and have never even seen it being placed I dont know how the dog grafts but it certainatly not a looker ..it would be interesting to know what judge and show this dog qualified from :hmm: ..........Dont try and be smart denned ive had my own dogs for 25 years and as for mine not worthy of being there I only showed him twice last year and that dog has won the Scottish champion of champions 2 years in a row .

As for seeing you face to face dont try and be the hard man denned ........

moo, your way off the mark thinking i'm wanting to be a hard man, not what was intended , but what was intended was , come see me say your peace, i'm open for opinionated debate anytime, i've got broad shoulders, your dog has never won , the scottish champion of champions, twice as you say, in fact it has never won it, as , borders area feildsports run that show, and i'm the secretary so i should know, the only thing i can agree with you was the poor turnout, 8 from 40 odd qualifiers, but did'nt yours win when there was only 5 there?????????? you were'nt saying it was a bad quality of dogs when it was your dog were you, no did'nt think so, and the year before you won it , my bitch won it ,

This show was from dogs that have have best in show around the country so it was champion of champions what ever you wan to call it .....I know what a thankless task judgeing is and you always diapoint someone .....Like ive said it was nothing to do with sour grapes as I was watching it as an outsider but I wasnt the only one who thought it but the only one who has written about it on here .... I heard a few people round the ring asking why the dog in question won "what a fukin fix " was one thing I heard ....and I wasnt the only one who walked away after you picked the winner ......

Did you not go in the huff at Neilston last year when your lurcher didnt get placed ?

If you honestly think that that black and white lurcher was the best speciman in Scotland then thats up to you .

Can't please everybody. I am not sure the revised schedule really worked. Might be better to work through the height thing dog/bitch, bitch /dog I am not sexist.

Less money and more trophy might be something to ponder. You have the sponsor to keep onside. I am glad I don't have to please everyone.

Good day. Thanks to the F&K. I think I got that right.

Hi Jim,

the reason we put the dogs before the bitches is incase a bitch is coming out of season stops the dogs dragging there noses round the ring but we can change it back easily enough if thats what lads want ?

we've had problems in the past getting trophys back and found it easier to up the money with less trophys again if it's what lads want we can reduce the money and get trophys again ?

Hopefully next years show being a one day affair will help we can only put the show on we cant make people attend, we realise it's a bit far north for some but appreciate the effort people make to attend .........

can someone please explain why as reserve champion i have had 3 or 4 invites to other shows but never got an invite to this ?

james

Maybe the show you were runner up in didnt send the paperwork in always check after a show that the organizers have all your details and then follow it up with a phone

call nearer the champion of champions show or check with the SCA.

that does really make sense, i know for sure my dog would have his nose firmly planted on the ground if a bitch was in season.

As regards to the dog who won, i think he is a cracking big dog and i am surprised he doesnt win more shows.
