Gaoler 83
Hello All, My 5 year old Labrador sustained a shoulder injury last season, no matter how much rest I give her and gentle exercise she continues to limp if I start to work her. She seems not to be bothered tail still wagging but there is a visible limp. The vet keeps saying more rest or surgery (I will not put her under the knife), can anyone recommend any joint aid or any other product that may help. She is such a good working dog. Any advice welcome. John... Quote Link to post
Dave C 63
There are many places which now have warm water exercise baths, the type used in Greyhound training. They are tred mills in water, which take the weight of the dog away as they exercise, when the dog is improving the remove a little water which increases the work the dog will do. one of my mates had a staffy which had a knee op and even when it was totally healed, it continued to limp, after about 6 sessions of this type of therapy, it did the trick. Look it up on google, Hope this helps. Dave. Quote Link to post
