Thanks to everyone for the positive comments, he's an absolute joy to be around and proving to be a smart little pup, all legs, neck and ears at the moment but he's started retrieving toys to hand and is good on and off the lead, also showing good determination and already a decent turn of speed. The pics were taken on a walk around an old dissused quarry near to my home down here in west wales. We'll see how he gets on this year, maybe introduce him to working next season.

Staggerz- nice to see your pup again, looks like she's coming along nicely, looks very similar to Macsen. If my memory serves me correctly there were 4 or 5 from the litter with similar markings. looking forward to seeing how she progresses.Do you know if theres anyone else on here who had a pup from the same litter?

yeah there were 4-5 lighter coloured ones and the others were a darker brindle. I dunno if there is anyone else on here with a pup from the same litter. I think it might just be us. Got this one retrieving toys also and little walks around the garden. Housetrained. Can't wait to take her out for walks. Like you said i won't be letting her work till next season as these Deerhounds are slower to mature. I have to keep a close eye on her on a night time as she has become somewhat of a prolific snail and slug hunter and i've heard reports of them picking up lungworm from them. I look forward to seeing how you progress with Macsen and will try and keep you posted with Seren.

Cheers
