anagallis_arvensis 2
Bitch got a couple in scotland when we were up there came back last sunday and I've found two more one today and one yesterday. How long do the little blighters take to become noticable, or could she have picked them up here? Just trying to sort out where they might have come from.
why jelly 0
Twist/turn anti clockwise and pull gently but don't be tempted to just pull it straight off like I did the first time many moons ago as they'll leave part of their jaws behind.

steviemann 5
Yes I agree these are brillient, even tiny ones can be removed. A number of different makes but all do the same.
bobndog 0
The wire loops work well also. As for where your dog got them, anywhere that there are deer or sheep in my experience. I have shot a roe with around 20 on it's underside in the past. You should be aware that they can also get on you and cause Lymes disease which can be serious, see; http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Lyme-Disease.htm
byrney 2
I've got a lasso type tick remover that works well as the loop is spring loaded so you dont have to consentrate on squeezing as you pull, good for the ferrets for the same reason. The ticks come from long grass, i believe there is a higher popullation of them recently due to larger deer numbers.
