lurcher no appetite

Recommended Posts

Worm him first with a good from the vet multiwormer. If the dog has been miserable or not treated right that can affect their appetite: get some pics up so we can see what he's like. Sometimes dogs don't eat well until they get used to their new surroundings, but if he's skinny I'd have thought that he'd be really hungry.

If he doesn't perk up a bit within a few days then I'd get him to the vet to see if there is an underlying problem.

lads iv just bought a lurcher from a fell his 10 mths old he is kinda skinny and has very bad appetite what could be the cause of this and what could i give him to get appetite back i jst wormed him 2day

some time pups can be like children ( spoiled ) and normaly when they are fussy eaters its because the owner either leaves the dogs food in the bowl all day ( doest remove it when its eaten ) or its been fed off the table. try your dog with table scraps and see if it eats them. if it does its been spoiled and it takes some getting out of this habbit. ive seen dogs just about starve them selfs because of this . it doesnt matter what you feed them they will just pick what little they need and leave the rest even if you starve them for days first to make sure they are hungry. if your pup has been spoiled i would look at feeding the BARF diet to get it eating properly again ;)
