how is he able to tell people what to do when he has worked ferrets with long nets because he cant be bothered to lay purse nets for 3 years. I started when i was about 8 yrs old. im 28 and still learning.

hes a moderator he can do what he wants and to whom he feels like to its as simple as that

lads, put the handbags down, its certainly not me doing what I want, its me having a bit of respect for the "cheap, nasty, freely available, cheap as chips" ferret, that so many newbies aquire first and then start asking questions on how to care for too late, scroll back through the pages, you'll find a few such posts, alot of members moan at me for being to over the top, maybe thats me thinking to much for the ferrets welfare, rather than hurting someones feelings

as for twiggy, its even easier to bring up the past constanly, rather than offering the advice twiggy likes to give, as per below

Regarding the actual topic.

If a young ferret is to be put down with an experienced one. Allmy jills live together and get on fine (young and old) this season I will put the newbies down with the old hands but my hobs are a different story. My young hob I kept back is in with one of the older (friendly and bloody useless)hobs he doesnt work. This kits dad does and Im worried about him attacking the youngster underground and he is big and very fit and he has no bother killing stoats and such when fannying about the garden, so im worried for the health of my young hob. What would you do?

just keep them seperate

put the young hob/s down with the experienced jills, still take your good hob, but keep him as a "reserve" that you can use on his own, if the other ferts dont seem to be flushing the warren

I normally use 3 jills a mixture of young and old, and include a young hob, once they have been run through a warren a few times and there are no more rabbits coming out, they get boxed, and "ted" or one of the other big hobs, are then put through on their own, this normally gets me one or two extra rabbits that have been trying to sit tight
