Coneytrappr 30
Was out for a while today clearing up some...a few about that are a bit small but if they've got to go then they've got to go. Had these bolt from the same warren into the net at the same time with the fert right behind, certainly not the oddest rabbit ever seen but something a bit different. This one couldn't have been more tangled if he tried Let's see everyone's odd rabbits Quote Link to post

ssssh1forthepot 0
Does anyone know if the variations in colour are due to escaped pet rabbits breeding with the other grey rabbits or is just nature throwing something random out every once in a while? Quote Link to post
ferret_man_09 0
on local common ground by myself i have seen alot of mixed bred rabbits pure black, black and white etc etc i think it is due to people either realeasing them or escaped rabbits that have bred Quote Link to post
brogan12345 0
hmmm thats wierd never seen that befere :S Quote Link to post
pencoed hunter 7
Might be pet rabbits breeding them the wild ones. Quote Link to post
Guest Countryboyo
Different colours occur naturally in the wild . How do you think our domestic rabbits today got their colours??? the coloured wild rabbits were caught and selectively bred to produce the different collours and breeds in domestic rabbits today. but it is also possible that escapee domestic rabbits bred with wilds to produce the coloured rabbit in the photo. jac 12
seen a white one with a brown patch on it. Quote Link to post
Brimmer 220
Its what we call a bluey, Occurs naturally like the blacks and the patched ones we call dutchys. They may have links to certain bloodlines 100's of generations ago, but occur quite a lot. Always nice to catch them. Would prefer to be catching them when fully grown in a months time though.
