Guest RAB.MCKAY
I feed my dogs on butchers leftovers mate. Just mix it with any cheap dog meal as your dogs will get most of their protein from the meat. Most butchers are happy to give away any old meat they have no use for since they would have to pay to get it disposed off. A.T.B will try local butchers cheers

BULL 97
i was reliably told that if you feed a mixture off complete and raw then due to the different times it takes to be deigested it can have an adverse affect on dogs nutritional gains.so i just kept to either one for 4-5 months each as a trial period, the dogs have looked nowhere near as good as when i mixed my meals so went back to my original diet , and they are loads better in condition and health . eukanuba(working dog in winter) iams green in the summer this is served as directed by weight ratio ,i then add that weight again in tripe ,sprinkle sa37 and 2 cod oil tabs this is then split into two meals and served 1st thing in morning and last thing at night . chewbaka 0
Raw every time. My dogs monthly diets are lamb/beef tripe with the odd chunked heart and liver, chicken wings, chicken carcasses, breast of lamb, rib bones, venison and rabbit when available. They have a sprinkling of powdered vegetable 'stuff' every other day and they also have linseed oil added to their food. Would never feed dry if i can help it. My oldest bitch who will be 8 in january is still going strong and has white pearls. Just gone on here cause im stuck in bed with pig flue!! First proper sence ive heard so far!! Been coursing 37 years some people never learn as long as they have a hole in their a...e Dogs are Carniverous they eat MEAT !!!!! There eat what they are given or is available but do well on a diet that meets there needs rather than some airy fairy idea of what is 'natural'. Protein isn't the best energy source, its the fat in the meat that gives the energy but the body needs to then convert a proportian of that fat into sugers (carbs) this in itself takes time and energy. The excess protein, from the meat, needs to be dealt with/excreted by the liver and kidneys and the jury is still out on this. So a diet based solely on meat may well not meet a dogs individual needs. Mr Bolt eats a diet that is far from natural and he runs a bit sharpish yet he has a digestive tract very similar to a dogs. Science suggests we can do better than 'natural' whatever that is but then again what has science ever done for us?
