why jelly 0
guess we must all abide by this then? http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/CrimeJusticeAn...ntion/DG_078569 I don't think that the problem here lies with peoples understanding of the law (unless you happen to be the law that is), probably more so with the random manner in which that law is enforced by the Police and the judicial system in this country. all the best fin and fur aye, they seem to change it as and when to suit themselves and get a couple more "notches" along the way

bobndog 0
So the bottom knife, the Opinel with a 1-3/8ths blade is illegal because the blade lock open, the blue one with a 1-1/2" blade, is illegal because it's a disguised knife, but the top one is fine because it has a 3" blade and folds. Have I got this right before I pop into Tesco's?
Toka 10
no.... they could all be illegal if you dont have good reason to have one on you at the time you are stopped. [Or they could all be legal] with the current anti knife feelings officers are told not to worry about locking/blade length etc, if it is a knife and the person doesnt have good reason to have it in a public place, including your own car, then they commit an offence. trouble is it means the person being arrested and interviewed in order to find out if they did have good reason, and even then once you have given your reasons the cps may decide to let the court make the decision instead of them or the police...and no one wants to be in that position!! Of course I have a good reason to carry the cut-throat razor, I was going to have a shave! The BASC site probably has the clearest information page on this subject; http://www.basc.org.uk/en/utilities/docume...7ED46C927D34652

Must admit when the kids were little anything with a sharp edge came in usefull to get the baby poo from under your finger nails , yes wipes were invented when mine were babys but you still had to juggle them on your knee usually on a bench in town , you didnt have them pull down tables in public toilets then

Have I got this right before I pop into Tesco's? If you run around with a bit of stubble in your face you are fine with the razor. The other two are not legal and the knife that looks like a cartridge is not even legal to be sold in the UK and are supposedly all together, together with belt buckle knives and knuckle dusters.
