Could anybody tell me if I will have a problem getting my Shotgun & FAC license after having a stress related problem 3 years ago due to a very stressfull job, which I still have (I had a month off work) & still taking a low dose tablet for anxiety.

The only way you'll find out is to apply and see. Declare it on your form and they will contact your Doctor if they are concerned to get his opinion.

Chap who lives opposite me had exactly the same problem, although he only wanted a SGC. he applied, was honest with his FEO and got it. The only thing that I would say in your case, is to apply for a SGC only, once you have it apply for the FAC. There is no way that they can say that you are safe to hold a SGC but not a FAC. If you really anticipate problems, join BASC now, before you apply for the SGC, they will fight your case. Providing that you do not have a criminal record, there should be no problem.

you could argue that getting out hunting is a great stress relief and it gives you the opportunity to switch off from your stressfull job.
