out with my lad and dog last night will be the second time out on the lamp since last season.

think he ran 9 or 10 rabbits and come home with nothing :11:.

to be fair to the dog we were on some cattle ground knee high with thistle in every feild with the odd clearing.

still there were 2 or 3 he should have had fit or not...

just wasnt his night, i have a few weeks to get him fit for the season he,ll come good :good:

Not being funny but if your dog couldnt catch a fat pregnant or even half grown rabbit what your not supposed to be running anyways as its not season yet  (being a real dogman) then i would get shot of it but thats opinion.

clueless, your not seeing the ground i was on last night.

ive had some cracking seasons with this dog so know better than to take your post seriously.

but if you have some ground and fancy a wager against your beddy x, it should be a breeze for you :)

Some of the people who have posted on this topic namely the ones slagging mucker 's dog off should come out with me some time ,i have a bedlington x whippet [ my first lurcher i might add ] and i will be quite honest as i am with any lurcher men i talk to about her , she's given me the most frustrating first 2 seasons of her life you could imagine , she has caught and was starting to put some good efforts in towards the end of last season and has had a couple of mooching about kills [ rabbits and even a wood pigeon ] during the closed season . so im hopeing for a vast improvement and that she has clicked and matured this coming season at the ripe old age of 3 .But quite frankly yes it is demoralising to keep coming home frustrated and empty handed ,but at the same time she's keen as any dog she seems to be enjoying it slip after slip ,as i do , some people might of got rid , beat her up or well and truly buried her  but i enjoy going out and at the same time look at it as a learning process for myself ,it makes that catch all the more a triumph than seeing her catch 10 out of 10 every time she' slipped ....like some of the peoples dogs on here

keep on at it ..

if we're honest we've all had nights like that. dont listen to a-holes that come on and post negative shit bout a dog they've never seen. we could all post lies about catching ten from ten, whats the point in spoofing?
