what to wear when beating?

You cant BEAT the army gortex coat and over trousers you can usualy pick em up for £50 at country fairs there prety hard wearing and light and can roll up and be carried in a game bag.I dont beat in mine as i never get asked to go beating i cant understand why. :whistling::gunsmilie:

Are you doing grouse??? thats the average for grouse, but if you're gonna get that when the pheasants start thats good pay............. :thumbs:

Some good and some funny advice on here so far.

 

could i also suggest that you invest in a bright hat / armbands, many beaters will wear a hat thats orange or has an orange band around it.

 

should make you a bit more visable if there are any 'keen' guns in the line-up

you may have to remember to watch your language young man .

i could point you in the direction of a forum where thay would give you all the help you will need , a forum where people are curtious, polite and offer good advice . but i don't think you would fit in . :(
