Has anyone heard of these, or even had a go themselves Thanks Hi jackward, yes a mate of mine does it in shropshire, for small bownies so he can use them for live bait when he pike fishing they last for hours if you hook them right, 6 ins snoods coming off the long line, he only puts them in streams by were he lives, ive been out with him collecting these lines with great results, Have a go mate Edited August 9, 2009 by nelson1 Quote Link to post

poacher3161 1,766 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 We used to do it a lot in the past earthworms being the best bait and about 10 inch of thin catty elastic so if a decent fish got on it couldent run and snap the line.Size 8 hook barbed obviosly.atvb dell Quote Link to post
abailiff 0 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Share Posted August 10, 2009 Yes they can be very effective at times but, and I'msorry to put a dampner on this, irrespective of their success they are totally illegal. SAFFA section1 and if caught a person could be liable for £5000 and/or three months in prison. If the instance was felt serious enough and the case went to Crown Court there is a maximum of two years imprisonment with a fine at the judge's discretion. Let's not get into the debate about the two offences relating to small (undesize?) live brownies being used for live bait. Quote Link to post

Thanks baits each hook with a small worm on a 18 size hook, good fun with a purpose keep us posted with results an pics jack am interested see how you get on Quote Link to post
