First post so hope I do this right :clapper: . Joined this forum as I was searching for working terriers. Been shooting and hunting for most of my life but seriously for 36 years. Mainly vermin control; fox, crows, pigeons etc. I also stalk deer when I can affort it. Enjoy target shooting too all sorts from clays, rifle and pistol.

My last terrier died just after moving to our new home (Irish Terrier dog). He wasn't a great hunter but during his life I used another jack bitch who was the best animal I have ever work over. I have held back from buying a dog due to work commitments and our yard was open. However, my passion has grown to have another dog, especially since I wounded a fox recently, before I got to it (150yrs) it pulled itself into thick cover. The blood splatter said it all but I would have love to have been 100% sure it was dead. My Jack bitch would have done that. So I am closing in the yard and going to get a bitch that can be a family pet but firm in the field.

I will put a post in the terrier section but if you know of any pups coming up in the N. Ireland, ROI or near a Scotish port I be greatful. Smooth hair prefered (Patterendale mix seems a good option, leggy and good track)

Anyway hello to all and if you are from N. Ireland let me know.
