coneycatcher17 3
Hello all just been doing a bit of permission this week to fill the freezer and it was a great day out with jills of old and new We did banks, hedgerows and flat spots, had 23 keepers and 5 that werent worth skinning and and dug to a couple of nests we do this spot every year just to keep the farmer happy and every year ther is more in young later in the season I put it to global warming wetter summers and calmer winters what are vyour views I am thinking of snaring in these circumstances in future because our jills are taking a lot of abuse and are smaller than most, CC17 Quote Link to post

smokin 0
we dont get hard winters here like i remember as a kid , september seems to be the best month of the year for heat & sunshine you think so? its more april-may-june here now then pissing down has been last three years now hoped wed have a good summmer with the colder winter this time - last cold winter here was 96 had a good 2 foot ground frost in december - not easy to dig that ! as for proper snowy winters then jan 94 (lost the cars in the snow drifts) or mid 80s before that i miss real seasons - however a decent 'indian' summer would be nice all this wet and warm seems to be good for weeds and flies. on the rabbit side of things - low numbers here last 3 years but this year seems the best in at least 10 locally to me - never any mixy locally but has the harder winter helped the numbers in some way??? atb chris Quote Link to post

Guest Countryboyo
The climate has realy changed in Eire since I was a child and I am roughly only 1/4 of a centuary old. I used to be back at ballybunion beach every evening after school as a young lad. now you would be lucky to get back there 3 days of the summer with this shite weather. Quote Link to post
