Guest Mass_G3nocide Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 Just had a look at my brothers ferrets he had a litter about 3-4 weeks ago now his jill had 4 kits and 3 are healthy and well, one of the Hobbs has a leg grown out of it's back and its rib cage is back to front my brother never told no one cos he wanted to give it a chance and he's a but soft but it was in a real state...It had a large lump of bone in its neck and quite a few toes missing it couldnt walk,I think i done the right thing putting it out of it's misery has anyone else encountered anything like this.I have never seen anything like it in my life it was a shame to see something like that. We had a lamb born with an extra leg a few years ago, but it was a tiny little thing when born, and it was born dead. Might be worth freezing it and seeing if a museum, etc. wants it. I would imagine that the poor little thing would have been i alot of discomfort. I have been breeding ferrets for about 20 years now and ive had to put a few ferrets out of their misery and it never gets any easier. Quote Link to post
