Blackberries Already.........!

I was out and about mooching as i am prone to do ..........when i came across a mass of Blackberries. I have ear-marked the location for about a weeks time when there should be enough ready to include in a Blackberry and Apple crumble. I did think they were a bit early to be honest........but the ones I tested were delicious.

I got caught out the other day out shooting with no drink and i had well dry mouth and i found a load of black berries which sorted me right out! lol

Been getting a few bowls full off of my bush in the garden for a couple of weeks now,apples on the tree are ready as well and as i type the misses is making a crumble .

Yep im allready picking the black and juicy ones saves them from the birds, theres not loads about but im washing them and freezing them until I have a quantity worthy of a nice crumble or some jam

Its great isnt it, bramble season is upon us!

here ive had 3 bags of threequarters a pound of brambles from my allotment, but down the country lanes they still arent ready. Plenty woodnuts too but they still arent ripe enough yet.

 

Ive got an apple pie in the oven as i type too! life is good!

Been eating them for weeks been having them for my mid walk snack ,just the ones on the end.Noticed if the pull off easy they are really sweet.another week or so and it's a big mission with all the kids ,blackberry and apple jam
