Rabbit meat

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Does anyone on the forum know of a easier way of getting that slimey membrane off rabbit portions ?

When you have got 10 or so rabbits to skin and portion up it can be a long winded process sitting there

pulling it off one bit at a time

I find the rabbit cooks much nicer with this membrane off if anyone knows a quicker way me and my

finger tips would be very gratefull to know it please

don't bother if the rabbits are youngish they dont need anything taking off other than the fur obviously

for old tough ones give them to the ferts or long slow cook them

My brother is a fish merchant down here in Cornwall, and I used to work in the shop for several seasons when at school / uni.

Anyway.... with tricky fish membranes we just used to rub the fish with a clean dishcloth which used to be great for the job. Try that.
